Even though the clues have all been there throughout the season, I, like many others (I’m assuming) was thrown off by the betrayal of Ragnar’s brother, Rollo. There were many contributing factors as to why Rollo decided to fight for the opposition, but I’m thinking the motivations stem from jealousy. He wants the fame and notoriety that his brother has seemingly obtained so easily.
All I can say is that the first season was definitely good enough to leave me wanting a second one. History Channel took a chance with a new and different kind of show and it really paid off. This show was filled to the brim with history, character development/good storytelling and oh so much blood; what more could you ask?
