Following the devastating loss of franchise and fan favorite Paul Walker, Universal Pictures scrambled desperately to find a solution when the actor died partway through filming.  It was revealed that little (if any) plot changed in the rewrites and Walker’s brothers would stand in for his character in remaining shots.  This film supposedly begins a new trilogy within the franchise as the events of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift finally found their way into Fast & Furious 6 with the introduction of Jason Statham’s villain, Ian Shaw, revealed as Han’s killer and out for revenge.  Director James Wan (The Conjuring, Saw) did a commendable job in such a troubled production.  Returning to the franchise with the late Walker are Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Lucas Black.
