Dir. Guy Ritchie
Guy Ritchie takes a break from making Sherlock Holmes movies with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law to create a different type of action/ adventure this summer. Instead of adapting classic literature, Ritchie has adapted the popular sixties spy television series “The Man from U.N.C.L.E.” into a film. Filling the roles of Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuyakin are Superman and the Lone Ranger themselves, Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer. Expect the same brand of quick, English quipping and exciting action from Ritchie’s previous films but with a sexy sixties influence. The plot borrows the general plot of the show as both spies team up for a joint mission investigating nuclear proliferation of a mysterious criminal syndicate.
