When Jimmy Kimmel introduced the Guardians of the Galaxy trailer on his talk show, the following morning saw the trailer set YouTube on fire and iTunes experienced a 15% sales bump for Blue Swede’s “Hooked on a Feelin’.”  Ant-Man is Marvel’s next endeavor into obscure super heroes from traditional pop culture and had even more trailer views than Guardians of the Galaxy in the first 24 hours.  Paul Rudd and Michael Douglas both star as two generations of the titular character. After Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) passes the Ant-Man mantle down to a divorced small-time crook (Rudd), another party emerges that looks to abuse Pym’s scientific research. Renowned filmmaker Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, The World’s End) toiled for years on this project, but ultimately dropped out due to creative differences involving the inclusion of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  Rudd and Adam McKay (Anchorman 1 & 2, The Other Guys) rewrote the script and the finished product looks unmistakably impressive given the popular trailer.
