How could this not be the main event of the summer? Even the Avengers haven’t teamed up on this large of a scale. This film incorporates the entire present/future X-Men cast with the past X-Men cast — throw in Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”) for a villain and I think we have an überblockbuster. Bryan Singer returns as the prodigal director, having not directed an X-Men film since 2003’s X2: X-Men United. Lastly, but certainly not least, franchise face Hugh Jackman has dropped hints all over the media circuit about this being his last rodeo as the Wolverine. Sure, rumors of a third Wolverine and X-Force film have been teased, but Jackman’s been quoted as of late mentioning an “inevitable” recasting of the Adamantium-clawed mutant. If this is the last time he “puts on the claws,” then we’ll be there.
