Immersion’s Top Ten Most-Anticipated Films of Summer 2014

Summer’s film schedule is largely comic-heavy.  We don’t have the eclectic mix of last summer’s originality (Pacific Rim, Elysium), comedy (This is the End, The World’s End, The Heat, We’re the Millers), action/ thriller (Fast and Furious 6, Now You See Me), sci-fi (Star Trek: Into Darkness), drama (The Great Gatsby), animation (Monsters University, Despicable Me 2) and, yes, comic books (Iron Man 3, Kick-Ass 2, Man of Steel, The Wolverine).  However, we had bombs (The Lone Ranger, After Earth, White House Down). The films of summer 2014 won’t be as diverse as last year, but that doesn’t mean you won’t have any less fun. Just look out for that fourth Transformers film nobody wanted or that Seth McFarlane comedy where he isn’t Ted (A Million Ways to Die in the West).  Honorable mention: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Chef, Edge of Tomorrow, and The Expendables 3 (just for the cast- have you seen that list?)
